DiaTribe: From The Village To The Streets began the night Ghanaian master drummer Obo Addy met poet and performer AJ Wone. That encounter grew into a musical stage production fusing African drumming and dance with hip-hop, honoring hip-hop dance as a child of Africa. The stage became a 42-minute documentary (2020), directed by AJ Wone and co-produced with Susan Addy, carrying Obo Addy's last major stage performance of record across 36 film festivals and 15 awards, from the Pan African Film Festival to opening night of the 32nd Cascade Festival of African Films.
